L'Aquila lies at an approximate distance of 63 miles on the eastern-northern-eastern side of Rome. It’s connected to it via an autostrada.

L'Aquila’s construction was started by Holy Roman Emperor, Frederick II.

Climate of L'Aquila is of Mediterranean type. July August proves to be the hottest month; with temperature of around 41 degree C; whereas January to be the coolest one; with temperature of around 17 degree C.
