Monte Bianco or Mont Blanc is the highest mountain in the Alps and also in West Europe. It rises to 15,781 feet high above the sea level and is ranked 11th in the world in topographic prominence. Moreover, it is also known as La Dame Blanche. This amazing mountain is between the regions of Aosta Valley in Italy and Haute Savoie in France. Its summit is a thick perennial ice and snow dome whose thickness varies, and so there is no exact and precise permanent summit elevation determination.
